Dr. Kathy Yeo has been practicing integrative medicine and chiropractic for over two decades. With a long lineage of physicians, Dr. Kathy has been deeply involved in natural healing since a child. Her greatest mentor is her grandmother, the first female medical doctor in Korea.
For her Bachelor’s degree, she studied Bioinformatics and participated in research with the Tribolium Genome Sequencing Consortium at the University of Cologne in Germany. She completed her doctorate six months early at Life Chiropractic West in San Francisco Bay with a Student Achievement Award. Her training focused on Craniopathy and Visceral Manipulation.
Her post-graduate studies include clinical nutrition and bioenergetic medicine, focusing on autism, detoxification, women’s health, autoimmune conditions, and alternative cancer therapies. She has lived and travelled extensively, studying ancient healing arts of the East, Africa, and Central America.
All of this experience brought Dr. Kathy to establish Pura Vida Wellness Center in Western Pennsylvania. Patients traveled nationwide to receive her unique blend of care with specialties in Cranial/ Visceral Manipulation and personalized detoxification programs.
In June 2018, Dr. Kathy sold her practice to devote more time to learning about the relationship between chronic illnesses and environmental health. She spent extensive time with wildlife, learning from indigenous communities and permaculture farmers. She then began her research in light, sound, water, and movement.
Dr. Kathy has collaborated with some of the world-renowned scientists, doctors, and pioneers, such as Dr. Vandana Shiva, Dr. Zach Bush, Dr. Gerald Pollack, and Dr. Nicole LePera and many more. She is a frequent speaker in the leading industry in detoxification, immune, mitochondria health, Cellcore Biosciences . She is a member of Exxpedition, a UK based, all women scientists organization for ocean plastic pollution research.
Her diverse background and training in different worlds of medicine have given her the ability to provide personalized and comprehensive care to patients. When addressing the root cause of diseases/ symptoms, Dr. Kathy is known for her multidimensional approach: physical, mental, emotional, environmental, and spiritual.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Kathy is a meditative artist, flamenco dancer, and a surf aficionado. She combines her personal and professional experience to encourage everyone to live a life of alignment.
